The Biggest Hindu Temple

It is believed that Lord pashupati nath is one of the biggest and must visit temple for the hindus. It is the most riligious holy place for Hindus. it is situated on the bank of holy river called bagmati river. talking about its history, its origin i unknown and believed to be magically appear but discovered by one of the king from the 13th centuary.

"Arya Ghat" is the another important place in the pashupati nath temple where dead person is cremated according to a hindu rituals. the priest of this temple is called bhattas. it is also enlisted into the world heritage list by the United Nations. this temple is a good example of ancient culture and civillization. It has for four huge doors made up of siver and gold and has beautiful arts crafted on it.It has lots of wooden windows and statues of various god and goddess which are very ancient and depict the significant religious events that took in the past.

Every year people from all over the world including Hindus and other come to visit this religious and artistic place. However, non -hindu people are not allowed to enter in the temple but people can have a good view of the temple from the bank of Bagmati river.

Mt Everest

Everybody knows about the Highest mounatin of the world. It's Mount Everest. Its called Sagarmatha (means;the goddess of sky) in Nepal. Mt everst was conquered by Sir Edmund Hillary from newzealand and Tenzing norgay Sherpa on may 29 1953 for the first time. The first lady to reach the top of the world was Junko tabei from Japan. Its is 8848 m high and lies at somewhat at the border of Nepal and Tibet. Every year many people all over the world attempt to conqured the Divine nature but only few could make it, most of them returned or quit and some of them lose their life. The youngest person ever to climb Mt everest is Temba Tsheri from Nepal at the age of 16. It is also believed to be seen from the moon.

Mt Everest is a dream to any mountain climbers. Some people even quench their thrist for Everest by climbing till the base camp. Climbing moutains needs skills but when it comes to Everest one needs more than skills to achieve sucess!!!

Buddhism in Nepal

Buddhism is another main religion in Nepal. The founder of Buddism religion Siddhartha Gautam Buddha was born in Nepal at kapilvastu district around 500 B.C. He was born as a prince and was raise with a luxuries life. It was predicted that he would one day leave all the luxury and leave his family and would go in search of peace and knowledge in the world. So he was kept away from all the misery of the world from his childhood. But one day he came into contact with all the misery of people in his state so he went for the meaning of suffering and ways to eliminate them.

After a long meditation and studying he finally got the answer of his questions.

Today many people all over the world follow buddism. Buddhism is second mail religion in the Nepal. The stupas and the monasteries are the religious place for Buddhism in Nepal.

There are mainly six principles of Buddhism which focused on the humanity, peace and brotherhood. Though buddism has its own of serving mankind, every religion give emphasis on Peace and brotherhood in the world.

Nepal-( general introduction)

Though being a small landlocked country, Nepal has lots of resources and things to share with the world. The mount everest and the other mountain rages are well known to eveyone. But most of the people may not know it is the second richest country for the water resorces after Brazil. The Lord Gautam Buddha"the founder of Buddhism" was born in Nepal. There are lots of cultural heritages and monuments that are enlisted in world heritage list by UN( united nations which means those heriatges must be preserve as it is rich in culture and civillization).

Nepal is divided into three geogarphic region so different types of flora and faunas are found in these different places. People from all over the world come to study the medicinal herbs and the different spices of animals and mostly birds. One- horned Rihnocereous and the Royal Bengal Tigers are the some of the animals which has drawn the people's attraction from all over the world.Nepal is one of the country with the majority of Hindu people but still there are other people from other various religions sharing and respecting each other's religion and participating in each other's festival. Overall, Unity in diversity is our speciality.

Hindu God and Goddess

I am a person from a typical Hindu family and I perform most of the rituals and religious activities according to my religion. People think Hiduism is one of the most complicated religion but I think it's just different from other religion. There are many ritauls and religious activities that a Hindu must follow in his life. We have rituals need to perform from someone's birth to someone's death and yes; lots of other rituals through the whole lifetime. Temple is our religious place where we worshipp our god and goddess.

There are more than 33 billion god and goddess according to the Hindusiam. Our god and goddess are very different and may be strange to most of the people. Mostly,our god and goddess have multi hands and heads. The god and goddess having multi hands represent their power and having multi heads represent their wisdom. Every god has its own importance and each religion is significant. However, the main theme of every religion is same;peace brotherhood and humanity.

The festival of light

Deepawali is my second graetest festival celebrated by almost all of the Hindus in the world. It is also called "Tihar" in my home country. Generally, it last for 5 days. We worshipp crow,dog,cow,ox and our brothers and sisters in each of the days. Goddess Laxmi, The goddess of wealth is maily worshipped and various rituals are performed. We light our house with candles, electric blubs and with the diyos( small candles made out of clay).
People buy new jweleries, furnitures,silver and gold believing that this will bring then good luck in this occasion. We even make a special kind of bread and sweets for this occasion. Mostly children play "deusi and bhailo" (they sing songs about the festivals and they would get money,bread and sweets).

We even light fire and crackes by our own self at each of the homes. People clean each and every corner of their home and decorated with special kind of marigold flowers.At the last day of this festival, we worshipp our brothers and pray for their long and healthy life. This helps to make their relationship even more stronger.

My National Flag

Have you ever seen a triangular flag which is actually a national flag of a country?

Well, My home country has a triangular falg as a national flag. People think its strange and funny but i think its extra ordinary and looks cool. There are mainly 3 colors used in the flag which hold their own significant symbolic meanings. The border of the flag is dark blue which describes the behaviour of Nepalese as a peace loving people and their feeling of brotherhood towards others. It also says resembles the blue sky and the ocean which is comparable to our big hearts and feeling for others.

The background is red which symbolizes the blood and which depict the history of our great warrirors and the brave Gurkhas. It also says that" we do not let anyone be alive if they try to harm our motherland but we can even scarify ourselves for our friends and well wishers."

Finally ,the white half moon and the sun represents the purity. It also says "As long as there are sun and moon in the universe, no one could harm the independent existence of Nepal".

The nature

Last summer, I did something awesome!!! I always wanted to do something adventerous and exciting. So I went for a Trekking accompanied with my father and some tourist from australia.

We spend a couple days in Pokhara( remember the place which i mentioned in my previous bolg?) enjoying various lakes, mountains and caves.Then we started the actual adventure thing for which we were there. We went on exploring various hills, water-falls, hills,vegetations,different people and different faces of nature. I had never been so close to nature which made me forget all of my exhaustion. I saw the divine beauty of nature which i had never imagined. We even enjoyed the sun rise from a hill( from a hill named poon hill) which filled everyone of us with new hope and life. We enjoyed the differnt kinds of birds in the hills and the scenic beauty.

Then afterwards, my father and the team went for the mountainous region which is in quiet high altitude and unfortunately my mom did not allow me. I returned home feeling bad but I had an adventure,a new experience and also a new perspective for life that i gained being so close to nature.

My father and the team had wonderful time and they showed me lots of pictures( and i have shared one of them here) which has attract me and has shown again a different face of nature. I wish I could go there soon. The most important thing I learned from my adventurous trip is that there is another world need to be explore and learn . It is really beautiful than our technological world;the real world of nature.

My Biggest Festival

I am missing my biggest festival which is going on now and must be celebrating by all of my people,friends and family in my country. It is celebrated for 15 days but the 1oth day is the grand finale which last for 5 days more.We worshipp our God and Goddess for whole 9 days and celebrate with full enthusiam. The climate at this festival is awesome at my home country. The clear blue sky filled with colorful kites, the warm sun, the refreshing wind,singing birds, blooming flowers all over the place are some of the specialities of this festival. It festival reunites whole family members,relatives and friends. We recive TIKA ( something to put on the forehead made of up raw rice and color;red ) from our elder which is symbol of their blessing to us. We visit each and every elder person of our family and relatives.We have huge feast with all family members,friends and relatives throughout the festival.We have varieties of foods,sweets and specially various mouth-watering pickles during the entire festival.

Talking about its importance,it depicts a story of our god at ancient time.It simply resembels the victory of truth over evil. It is the biggest festival celebrated by all Hindus. We even have some special ceremony and rituals at some of our important temples.

So, friends i tried to mention a little part of my festival. It is my biggest festival; my DASHAIN!!!

My dream world!!!

I have not visited any country besides my own home country and the place where i am living now. But i have been to a place at my home country which i feel to be my dream world.

It is full of nature .It is also called the switzerland of Nepal(my home country;may be you understand the comparision). It is a small but a very beautiful palce where you can be always close to nature.It is surrounded by tall snow capped mountains and lots of green hills. It has lots of huge mysterious lakes and many wonderful falls. A fish-tail mountain(its peak is just like a fish's tail:you can see in the picture too if you like) and many other snow capped moutain ranges are the most attractive thing to see. Many people all around the world come for mountain climbing,rafting,bungi-jumping and to enjoy the nature in this place. I really like the environment; fresh and lively.Another amazing feature of this place is that it contains numerous artistic temples and monuments. A floating temple on a lake is an intersting thing to see or to visit.Besides these,people have different festivals and even throught out the year for the tourist and the nature lovers which is another special attraction o fthis place.You can see a typical wooden home to a lovely large luxiroius houses which is another thing that paid my attention.Another intersting thing about this place is the caves!!! You can explore different caves which are not man-made.There are lots of current flowing river for rafting,cliffs,hills and large bridges over the rivers for bunji-jumping..

Overall,i am mostly impressed by the mountians;tall.large,beautiful mounatins!

Oh, I almost forget you guies to mention the name of my dream world.If you are a nature lover or spoty and adventure seeker or the mix of both then my dream world is one of the perfect place to visit;in my home country;my dream world;POKHARA!!!

It has almost been a month since I left home but whenever I remember my home country a pure and warm thoughts flows inside me.I can still remember the sky touching snow capped mountains, high green hills just below those mountains and lots of temples and stupas(monuments) decorated with huge ribbons and religious flags peeking all through those green hills.I can still smell the fresh air from the white snowy mountains which fills everyone one with a new life and energy leaving beside a new enthusiasm inside.I can still feel the warm sun in the mornings whose light get reflected in the white mountains making them the golden mountains.I can still see the smiling faces of people when the flowers bloom welcoming the spring and all the continuity of our long list of festivals.

You people might think I am gone crazy but yes I can still see,feel and smell my place,YES I CAN!
