
Buddhism is another main religion in Nepal. The founder of Buddism religion Siddhartha Gautam Buddha was born in Nepal at kapilvastu district around 500 B.C. He was born as a prince and was raise with a luxuries life. It was predicted that he would one day leave all the luxury and leave his family and would go in search of peace and knowledge in the world. So he was kept away from all the misery of the world from his childhood. But one day he came into contact with all the misery of people in his state so he went for the meaning of suffering and ways to eliminate them.
After a long meditation and studying he finally got the answer of his questions.
Today many people all over the world follow buddism. Buddhism is second mail religion in the Nepal. The stupas and the monasteries are the religious place for Buddhism in Nepal.
There are mainly six principles of Buddhism which focused on the humanity, peace and brotherhood. Though buddism has its own of serving mankind, every religion give emphasis on Peace and brotherhood in the world.
